I am now retired and enjoying the opportunity to devote more time to a long-standing passion: giving new life to items that might otherwise end up as waste.

My single garage has been transformed into a compact workshop, where I create practical, functional pieces from reclaimed and repurposed materials. I enjoy the challenge of seeing potential where others might see waste and turning forgotten objects into something useful once again.

I’m usually assisted by my workshop supervisor, Thomas the cat. He’s not the most sociable character and may choose to ignore visitors—or simply walk away—but if you’re patient, kind, and give him a little space, he’ll eventually decide you’re worthy of his attention.

Michelle is a full time published crime thriller author, with 14 titles now available (correct at time of writing.) 

In addition to the above, Michelle also very kindly serves as the company secretary, playing a crucial role in keeping the venture running smoothly. Her cat, Livi, is quite different from Thomas, as Livi avoids all forms of social interaction and contact. Without Michelle's dedication and support, the entire venture would likely crumble and cease.

We live in a consumer-driven society where many items are designed to be replaced rather than repaired. This not only generates excessive waste but also discards the potential for creativity and reuse. Our mission is to combat this throwaway culture by giving new life to discarded items. Through recycling, repurposing and then reusing, we aim to reduce waste and create unique, practical pieces that have a story and a soul.

 

What We Do!!

In my converted garage workshop, I turn unwanted materials into one-of-a-kind items. My creations are constrained by the materials I have on hand, which I source from charity shops, recycle centres, skips, car boot sales, waste items, surplus stock from construction events, and more. This makes each piece unique and tailored to what’s available.

Bespoke Creations!!

We can also take on bespoke projects, crafting items specifically for people out of their own unused or cherished materials. For example, I recently made a small table lamp using a dog lead provided by a client. These custom creations are a wonderful way to preserve memories and turn sentimental items into functional art.
